Introduction

Energy is the basis of all
life and the vital factor in healing. The human body is a dynamic energy
system of order and harmony, in a constant state of change. Our bodies are
the expression of this energy, which permeates all life.
Good health is based on the
harmonious flow of energies, and as a student you will be taught to
stimulate and revitalise these energy flows.
At the Institute you will
learn the Holistic Healing arts of Reflexology, Massage and Aromatherapy,
and enhance your understanding of how the Mind, Body and Spirit are
interconnected in the processes of healing.
The Courses are structured
to be professional, and yet enjoyable to learn and simple to comprehend.
The Institute Aims
1. To train students of
different backgrounds, capabilities and nationalities to develop their
potential to become professional Practitioners.
2. To encourage and help
students to gain the knowledge, acquire the skills and the confidence for
a firm foundation, on which to build a successful career in Complementary
Medicine.
3. To provide a caring and
committed environment, for raising the sensitivity and awareness of
students, to practise Complementary Medicine in a holistic manner.
4. To train students to
recognise and respect the uniqueness and dignity of each patient and, to
respond to their individual need for care.
As a Student of the
Institute
1. You are asked to have a
positive approach to your chosen Therapy, a commitment to study and a
desire to serve society
2. You will be taught safe,
responsible and effective working procedures thereby promoting the health
and well being of yourself, your patients and clients
3. You will be taught to
act in a manner to justify public trust and confidence in you as a
Practitioner and to uphold and enhance the good standing and reputation of
the profession you have chosen
4. You become part of a
large family of Practitioners from the moment you start the Course
5. You will acquire the
skills and knowledge to practise with confidence and enjoy the continuing
support of tutors and staff who are always available to give you help and
advice
6. You will be safe in the
knowledge that you have a recognised and an accredited qualification
either for personal use, employment or setting up your own practice
7. You become a member of
the Postgraduate Association on graduation. This is an active Association
offering you back up, helpline, Newsletter and Skills Enhancement
Workshops
About your Diploma
The International Therapy
Examination Council (I T E C) is an independent body and well over 400
educational establishments are registered with it throughout the world.
During the last academic year ITEC conducted over 30,000 examinations.
ITEC Diploma qualifications
are highly regarded by prospective employers who know an ITEC
qualification means excellence in both theoretical knowledge and practical
ability. ITEC Courses now stand high in the opinion of The British Medical
Council and The Institute for Complementary Medicine and have been
approved by the Department for Education and Employment
The ITEC Diplomas in
Reflexology, Anatomy, Physiology and Massage and Aromatherapy are
professional qualifications accepted worldwide
Postgraduates of the
Institute can also apply for entry to British Register for Complementary
Therapists held at the Institute for Complementary Medicine.
