Walking
good for the mind
Walking can be an effective way of strengthening the
mind and heart especially in the elderly.
A six month study compared the effects of walking
versus the toning and stretching exercises in the elderly. The researchers
found the walkers experienced the most positive effects in memory,
planning and scheduling.
