What is Vitamin B6?
Vitamin B6 (otherwise called 'Pyridoxine') is the name given for a group of chemical compounds. Some vitamin B6 is stored in muscle tissue, but this capacity is limited and it is therefore important to ensure a regular dietary intake of vitamin B6.

Function

  • Necessary for healthy nervous system
  • Helps body process the essential fatty acid 'Linoleic acid'
  • Assists release of glycogen for energy from the liver
  • Helps body convert the amino acid 'Tryptophan' to niacin
  • Enables the body to manufacture and convert amino acids and metabolise proteins
