Advances In Acne Medicine

Acne, an inflammatory infection of the skin, is caused by some changes in the pilosebaceous units of the skin. Acne abrasions are generally referred to as zits or pimples. Acne is a widespread condition during puberty, owing to the hormonal changes that a young person undergoes. In some cases, acne continues to be a painful problems for decades. Acne affects a huge number of people at some stage in life.

There are a lot of products available to treat acne. Most of them do not have scientifically proven effects. On the other hand, there are number of treatments that have been confirmed as effective and include benzoyl peroxide or erythromycin, vitamin A derivatives like isotretinoin, homeopathic and herbal medicines, electrical skin exfoliation machines and facial scrubs.
