If you?re been looking for ways to cure your acne for awhile, I?m sure you?re already aware of all the medical (and often expensive) ways of curing acne.
But there?s another type of treatment that some people find effective, so it?s worth knowing about. The treatments I?m talking about are called alternative acne treatments.
These treatments are often favored by people who aren?t keen on using powerful medicines and chemicals on their skin.
One of the simplest ?alternative? acne treatments is to simply change your diet. Some people have had great success in reducing their acne by eating more fruit and vegetables, and less processed foods. This keeps you much healthier, and will improve your skin.
You can also improve your diet by drinking more water. You see, most people don?t drink enough water anyway. So by increasing the amount of water you drink, you will help keep your skin healthier and moisturized.
Another alternative way of treating your acne is to try using certain herbs that have shown to improve skin and reduce acne. Now many of these herbal treatments haven?t been scientifically proven, but if something works, it works. So if someone has tried something and had success, it may at least be worth a look.
Some of the herbs that people have claimed improves their acne are things like burdock, sarsaparilla, and tea tree oil. How do you use them? You simply apply it to your skin when you have an outbreak, and see if it helps. It may take a couple of days for you to notice the difference.
I?m sure there is something to be said for alternative treatments. You certainly don?t need to rely on drugs and chemicals to cure your skin of acne. Another benefit with alternative treatments is that there isn?t any side effects (compared to the side effects that you can sometimes experience with drugs from your dermatologist).
It may not be for everyone, but it?s certainly something to consider, and well worth trying if you want to cure your acne without using drugs.
