We always dream of a soft, smooth and clear skin, but unfortunately there is a stage in our life that we experience having acne. Big nasty red bumps usually seen in the face and other oily parts of our body like the chest and in the back.

Before treating your acne you should first understand that breakouts are caused by dirt and sebum produce by our sebaceous gland, once there is excessive secretion of oil and accompanied by dirt, it will clog pores and results to acne. There are many skin care products claiming that it will treat and reduce the appearance of acne.

Every person has different skin types that need different ways and products to treat their break outs. So you need to identify your skin type if you have oily, dry or normal, some have sensitive skin and sometimes combination skin. If you have an oily skin you will need a cleanser and a topical gel to control the shine and your acne, while those who have dry skin suffers from itchiness and flaky skin which needs a gentle cleanser and a moisturizer to maintain the proper moisture of your skin.

Just be patient in finding the skin care products that will suit your skin needs. Also always remember to wash your face at least twice or thrice a day to keep your skin clean and away from dirt and bacteria and avoid using rough pads and scrubs because it can irritate you skin. Drink plenty of water about 8 glasses a day.

It will help you to have clear skin because it will eliminate the bad toxin from your body and rejuvenate your skin being the biggest organ of your body. And remember to eat healthy foods like fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid foods like donuts, cakes, pastries, caffeinated drinks like coffee, chocolates, milk and other dairy products.

And don?t pick on your pimples it will cause you more infections and of course more breakouts. Picking and popping on your pimples will leave nasty scars that very unsightly even your acnes are already treated. Always wash your hands frequently and also after using the bathroom and don?t forget your daily shower to keep away from germs and bacteria and keep your personal things clean like towels.

You can also use sunscreen to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun, it can damage your skin that will lead to wrinkles and it can worsen acne. Use make-up and cosmetics that is less fragrant and those that are not oil base.

Remove make up before going to bed and washing and cleansing is also very important. Keep you hair clean and shampoo everyday to avoid oil and dirt to clog your pores. Reflection and meditation can also help you to achieve clear
