I have many times been prone to acne because my skin is so oily. I have learned many methods to keep my skin free of acne. And what a blessing. Acne is the most common skin care condition. When acne forms inside a person's pores, the pores produce sebum. Here are some factors that lead to acne.
Hormones.
Some Medicines.
Environment(Pollution and Humidity).
Friction From Clothing.
Heredity.
Some Make-Up and Cosmetics.
There are effective treatments available that can slow down the skins production of oil. But first thing first. Avoid eating lots of oil as oil is linked to outbreaks in some people. If you are always prone to acne, you must clean your skin without scrubbing and using mild cleansers. You can also benefit from over the counter treatments, prescription or even cosmetic surgery. In your quest of getting rid of acne don't:
Don't get a facial.
Don't use rough brushes or cleansers with granules.
Don't pick or rub your pimples.
Don't use oily products(oily facial creams or oily cleansers. nothing oily at all.).
Use:
Over the counter products that contain benzoyl peroxide once or twice a day. This will cut down on any bacteria.
Wash your face always gently. Washing too hard may irritate your skin. Wash your face twice a day using a mild soap. Neutrogena soap or Dove(for sensitive skin, the white one) is excellent. These are the soaps I use and I love them! And make sure you always rinse your face off with cool water.
When going out especially in warm weather, choose a oil-free sunscreen of SPF-15 or higher.
Also try to lower your iodine intake which can be found in multiple vitamins and iodide salt. Some doctors believe that iodine does encourage acne. I use very little salt in anything I eat.
Us a face mask about every two days to deep clean your skin. Then apply a oil free moisturizer.
