Causes of Hair Loss in Young Women

By: Ken Wilssens

The cause of hair loss in young women today is not difficult to figure out. All you have to do is examine a page of a magazine and see the hair styles that are sported by models. Every young woman wants to be as close as she can to what's in vogue and what is in vogue is every color of hair that you can imagine and styles that are the same. This is leading to hair loss for some as they change the color of their hair so often and the chemicals do their work in time. Before long the young women have a problem with hair loss.

Another cause of hair loss is that some women braid their hair and leave it that way for months at a time. If you are braiding your hair it should not be left for more than two weeks. It is too harsh on the roots of the hair and will start pulling them out and if this persists it will lead to scaring of the scalp and the hair will not grow in that area again. The same thing applies to weaving and corn rows. It is much too harsh on your hair to be worn for a long time. You should never use any type of glue on your scalp or anything that won't let you have access to your scalp. By doing this you will have hair fall out and roots that will die.

While most hairstyles are now moving towards the natural look, there is still the dying of the hair that has increased in the past few years. You can now change the color of your hair to suit anything that you are wearing but this takes a toll. The chemicals used in the dying procedure are not meant to be used as often as some people use them and it also depends greatly on how it is used. A professional hair dresser can give you the advice you're looking for to avoid the problem of hair loss.
