Hair Loss Prevention

By: Josh Riverside

Hair loss is a problem suffered by both men and women. It may cause insecurities and can be embarrassing. Unless you are ready to loose all your hair and simply shave the little that is left, you are probably finding every option available to keep more hair on your head from falling out.

Before you start pinning your hopes on any miracle drug that will make all your lost hair grow back again or prevent any hair from falling out again, there is no such drug or product; what is available are prescription and nonprescription products that can be effective against hair loss.

Propecia, monoxadil or Rogaine, avacor, and proxiphen are some of the popular hair medications available on the market. These products have their own shares of success stories in helping to maintain existing hair and, to some extent, even regrow some hair lost.

Special vitamins made from mixtures of amino acids, biotin, vitamin B-6, vitamin E, and zinc are formulated to promote rapid hair growth, produce thicker hair, and maintain healthier hair.

Sometimes the cause of hair loss is hereditary. If that is the main cause, then there is nothing that can reverse the process. But there are situations wherein hair loss is due to abnormal imbalances of male or female hormones, known as androgens and estrogens, respectively. Medications are available to correct the imbalance and prevent further hair loss.

Massaging the scalp can promote hair growth. It helps unclog oil glands in the scalp that are blocked, and it promotes healthy scalp.

Because of the high demand for hair loss prevention products, you can avail of medications that are not clinically tested or unapproved by the Food and Drug Administration. Avoid blood thinners, gout medications, chemotherapy medications, too much vitamin A, birth control pills, and antidepressants; all can aggravate hair loss.

Hairloss provides detailed information on Hair Loss , Hair Loss Products , Hair Loss Treatments , Hair Loss Remedy and more. Hairloss is affiliated with Natural Hair Loss Treatments.
