Hair Loss Treatment For Men And Women

By: C Mueller

Hair loss is something that men and women can both face during their lives.

I started shaving my head in my early twenties when I noticed my hair was thinning but this certainly isn't the only option available.

As time goes on there are an increasing number of options for dealing with hair loss including surgical, non-surgical and topical (ie. hair lotions, etc) choices.

A good medical professional can help provide you with more information regarding your specific situation if you are concerned that your hair loss might be a medical problem.

Part of the issue with hair loss that men and women are often unsure about is related to the options that are available, the cost involved, the pain involved with some treatments, and which treatment option might be best for them.

Certainly, the amount of hair loss, the reason for your hair loss and your desire to deal with the hair loss are but three factors.

Your budget is another one.

Many hair loss options such as topical products that you apply to your scalp and hair systems require repeated treatments which could make your costs escalate over time to the point that it makes the option unviable for you.

Other treatments such as hair transplant surgery might be prohibitive if you are afraid of the pain involved, can't afford it or are simply unwilling to undergo surgery.

While there is a stigma attached to some hair loss options such as old-style wigs and toupees, hair loss treatments have certainly improved and increased to the point where some might offer you a good option to deal with your hair loss if you so choose.

Or you might simply choose to shave your head like I did when my hair started thinning!
