Herbal Treatment for Hair Loss

By: Paul Cris

Herbs are good for the hair. If you apply herbal ingredients to the hair then the blood circulation will be smooth. The scalp gets clean without any sight of dandruff or any other infections. Due to these factors the hair growth will be good. Some herbal remedies are:

Use a mixture of apple cedar and vinegar tea on the scalp to help your hair grow. To rinse your hair use catmint or chamomile infusions so that you will be free from the itching sensation. To stimulate the hair growth, your blood should be free from toxins. Therefore it is advisable to drink daily 1 tbsp. of juice of stinging nettle, birch leaves and watercress mixed in a glass of water.

Drink tea, which is made out of raspberry and blackberry leaves, for the smooth functioning of your kidneys. Horsetail is a good source of silica to make your hair shiny and smooth. Add it in about 4oz hot water and mix the solution with shampoo. Rosemary is an important ingredient to maintain the hair quality. On the whole, it improves the circulation of blood to the scalp and thereby stimulating hair growth. It turns the scalp area clean by removing the dandruff and makes it free from all types of infections. You can use products like tinctures of stinging nettle, birch, horsetail and rosemary to massage your scalp regularly. Plants of arnica, marigold, and southernwood are useful for hair loss and so the combination of all these oils would be better.

If your hair has a dry texture, then use the tea of marshmallow and burdock on your hair. Mix 1 tsp of each into hot water and apply.

Tea made of jatamamsi and brahmi is a known stress reliever. Mix 1 tsp of each in hot water and have it 2-3 times a day. It is also a tonic for hair loss.

Chinese herbs such as Psoralea seeds, oysters and clam shell, mulberries, cinnamon are broadly used for their own significance. The Psoralea seeds are useful for tackling the problem of early balding. Each day 3-6 grams should be consumed.

There are a few herbs that are used since ages such as Polygonum Lycium fruit, Chinese foxglove root and Cornus. The main advantage of these herbs is that they are free from all the harsh chemicals and therefore do not cause any side effects. However, it is advised that you visit a dermatologist or physician before trying any herbal remedy.
