Laser Hair Removal Can Men Have It Too

By: Sarah Wright

Laser hair removal has become a popular choice for women who are looking for permanent hair removal in recent years. But is it a choice for men as well? It certainly is!

More and more men each year are deciding to get rid of unsightly back and chest hair through the use of laser hair removal. It certainly isn?t unusual for men to have laser hair removal as well. Most salons and clinics that perform laser hair removal are used to men booking this treatment as well.

One possible downside for men looking for laser hair removal is the cost. It can be quite expensive to have a large area performed on, such as your back or chest. You?ll also need multiple sessions if you want completely permanent hair removal. You see, after just one session your hair will still grow back (although it will be a lot finer, and less of it).

But on the plus side, it is much quicker than other permanent methods such as electrolysis. And you won?t have to worry about removing hair ever again! No more shaving your chest, or having to book waxing sessions at a salon.

For many men, these benefits more than outweigh the cost of having laser hair removal treatment.

Another thing you need to be aware of, is that laser hair removal treatment isn?t suitable for everyone. It?s better to have darker hair and lighter skin, because this means the laser can tell the hair follicle apart from the rest of your skin. If you have dark skin, laser hair removal can be dangerous, because the laser can?t set apart the hair follicles so easily and it may burn your skin. You should be informed of all this when you book your treatment, as you will usually have a brief consultation before the full appointment is made.

So in conclusion, if you have the money and the right skin and hair type, laser hair removal really is the best option for women AND men who want to remove unsightly hair from their bodies, permanently.
