New electrotherapy (millimeter therapy)- an effective pain reliever

Managing pain remains a significant medical problem as drug treatments are known to have a number of adverse side effects, especially to the stomach and digestive system. One form of electro-therapy to emerge in recent years is TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Neuro Stimulation ) and this is now commonly used by physiotherapists to help allevaite musculo-skeletal pain. However, researchers have discovered a new form of electro-therapy which seems to offer even greater benefits.

The new treatment, known as 'millimeter therapy', involves low intensity millimeter waves and has been shown to significantly help alleviate pain and improve pain tolerance thresholds.

Researchers at the Richard J. Fox Center for Biomedical Physics, Pennsylvania, USA conducted a trial into the pain relieving effects of millimeter waves (MW). Twelve healthy male volunteers received a 30 minute exposure to (MW).
