The Greatest Blunder In Medical History
ADRs (adverse drug
reactions) rank as one of the principal causes of death, after heart
disease, cancer and lung disease.
"The wonder drugs
which are supposed to save human lives, are the fourth leading cause of
death" says Dr Andre Menache, President of Doctors and Lawyers for
Responsible Medicine (DLRM), a coalition of medical scientists, veterinary
surgeons and lawyers. DLRM attributes this high level of human ADRs to an
over-reliance on animal experiments.
DLRM has called on the UK
Government to set up a Judicial Enquiry into the questionable validity of
animal experiments, and has presented convincing evidence of the
relationship between animal-based research and ADRs.
Dr Menache will be visiting
the UK between March 22 and 27, when he will be available for
interviews.
