We have been telephoned by journalists who have received a press release headed ITEC Professionals join BCMA. Whilst it is true that the commercial company ITEC offers awards in complementary therapies, their claims are somewhat ambitious.

VTCT is by far and away the largest awarding body for Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Holistic Therapies and Beauty Therapy.

Our qualifications are available in most Colleges of Further Education in the UK for those on full time courses. Since 1982 we have been the market leaders and will continue to provide the major qualifications in our sector that are Government funded.

We appreciate that commercial companies regard ambitious claims as part of the normal currency of marketing, but at some stage regard must be paid to true facts.
