How to conduct a search
Use the form above to search for documents in
the Internet Health Library containing specific words
or combinations of words. The text search engine will display a weighted list of matching
documents, with better matches shown first.
Each listed item is a link to a matching
document; if the document has a title it will be shown, otherwise only the document's file
name is displayed. It is important to input the precise keywords to obtain a
true report of matches. You can also confine the search. Please click for an explanation of
how to input keywords, along with examples.

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions
containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:
- acupuncture
migraine
- finds those documents which
contain the words 'acupuncture' or 'migraine'
- acupuncture or
migraine
- same as above
- acupuncture and
migraine
- finds those documents containing both
the words 'acupuncture' and 'migraine'
- acupuncture not
migraine
- finds those documents containing
'acupuncture' but not 'migraine'
- (acupuncture not
migraine) and products
- finds documents containing
'products', plus 'acupuncture' but not 'migraine'
- web*
- finds documents containing words starting with 'web'
