The Society of
Teachers of the Alexander Technique
The Society of Teachers of the Alexander
Technique (STAT). Established in 1958, STAT is the largest regulatory body
for the Alexander Technique.
The
Alexander Technique is a unique way of
addressing the causes underlying many persistent
problems, including back pain, breathing
& vocal disorders and stress-related illnesses.
The
Society, founded in 1958, is the oldest and
largest representative body for Alexander teachers
(practitioners) with nearly 800 members in the UK and 12 affiliated
societies in other countries.STAT-qualified teachers (M.S.T.A.T.) have
completed a three-year, full-time
training on one of 15 approved courses.
