Doctors and Lawyers for Responsible Medicine
(DLRM) |
I
DLRM - like DBAE before it – was established
with the unequivocal purpose of exposing and spelling out the invalidity
and dangers of basing medical research on animal experiments.
DLRM holds that, because of the differences
between and within species, such research cannot be extrapolated to
humans. Medicine based on these misleading and unreliable results can,
therefore, cause great harm and suffering to both humans and animals, as
well as retarding medical progress.
DLRM’s whole raison d’être rests on purely
medical and scientific evidence. Medicine cannot advance or be safe until
it is turned away from vivisection.
It is important that all members understand and
support this objective. The end of vivisection, without delay, is
essential in view of its harm and futility to human medicine. Our aim and
objective is to call for, and work towards, the immediate and
unconditional abolition of all animal experiments worldwide
