Medical Association UK
The Ayurvedic Medical Association UK is the professional body for the
qualified Ayurvedic practitioners who have completed five to six years
full time training in a university and one year internship as an Ayurvedic
doctor in the Government hospitals in India and Sri Lanka.
There are about 25 –30
qualified Ayurvedic physicians in the UK who are registered with the
Ayurvedic Medical Association UK who hold malpractice insurance and
maintain a code of ethics.
Most of the physicians are
based in London but some of them are in areas which have a large Asian
community such as Leicester, Birmingham and Bradford
