ASSOCIATION FOR COUNSELLING
BAC
is the national voice on issues related to counselling. Its members
include many thousands of individual counsellors, people using counselling
skills in the course of their employment, people who support the use and
value of counselling and hundreds of large and small national and local
counselling organisations. Its healthy growth is essential for counsellors
and clients alike.
BAC aims to:
- Promote the understanding and awareness of
counselling throughout society.
- Increase the availability of trained and
supervised counsellors.
- Maintain and raise standards of training and
practice.
- Provide support for counsellors and those
using counselling skills and opportunities for their continual
professional development.
- Respond to requests for information and advice
on matters related to counselling.
- Represent counselling at national and
international levels.
