The
British Wheel of Yoga
The British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) is recognised by the sports councils as
the Governing Body for yoga in Great Britain and is the largest yoga
organisation in the country. The Wheel has its own very highly regarded
teaching diploma which is recognised by local education authorities, the
health service and many other bodies. It currently has over 4000 members
who benefit from personal accident insurance cover, reduced price entry to
many yoga events and seminars and discounts on BWY products such as yoga
mats and blocks.
The Wheel also produces a quarterly
members magazine
"Spectrum" with news and information on yoga topics and
"Yoga The World Over" which lists yoga courses and events in
this country and overseas. The central office in Sleaford can provide
details of yoga teachers and resource leaflets on different topics.
