The National Federation
of Reiki Practitioners (NFRP)
The NFRP is the only recognized
member governing body of the British Alliance of Healing
Associations (BAHA) to represent Reiki Healing.
The NFRP provides safeguard
standards for the public and practitioners alike including Insurance to
practice, education and training, legislation update and guidance, annual
inspections to ensure NFRP compliance and a charitable healing section
dedicated to implementing community based Reiki Healing and Training Centers
nationally.
All members are subject to
the code of conduct, ethical standards and complaints and disciplinary
procedures of the NFRP, in accordance with BAHA regulations, which provide
comprehensive rules and procedures for the practice of Reiki healing. All
healer members are fully insured by a policy that provides public and
professional indemnity.
Entry into our Federation
will require certain prerequisites, and as an elite it is our duty to set
and uphold high professional standards. There is nothing in the code to
restrict members unnecessarily. Prerequisite for membership include
extensive examination and investigation of all references, certification
and training, personal background and business premises. Annual updates of
health and safety, lifting and handling, and first aid are mandatory.
We accept all people
who are initiated into Reiki, without discrimination. We value the Usual system as a
recognized practice, along with similar/different methods of
Reiki healing - our aim is non exclusion of any person with good intent to
practice Reiki, whom so nurtures the idea that standards have to be set
and maintained, and who can meet our prerequisite for membership.
We welcome applications
from members of the public with no previous experience or involvement
within a healing environment - In such cases you are accepted into the
NFRP as a probationary member. Upon joining you will be contacted by a
NFRP 'mentor' who will be responsible for ensuring you receive guidance
and assistance throughout the qualifying period, and beyond. Your mentor
will arrange contact to identify your training requirements and take
responsibility for implementing and monitoring your training programme. It
is envisaged that all mentor's will have access to suitable
locations/environments that provide a Reiki healing service so that you
may accompany him/her and gain your training and subsequent experience,
under supervision, with the general public.
