Australian Flower Essences research
Australian Bush Flower Essences used in hospitals
Unique flora collected from
across the state of Western Australia are used to make wildflower essences
known as the Australian Bush Flower essences and these remedies are
becoming adopted by hospitals throughout Australia.
Similarly to homoeopathic medicines and
the more well known 'Bach' flower remedies, the Australian Bush Flower
Essences can be given internally, or applied to the external body and to
acupressure points. Angela and Craig Balinski have used the Western
Australian flower essences in their complementary therapy practice where
patients are treated for stress and pain management. These remedies are
also currently utilised in nine of Perth's hospitals.
The Australasian Flower Essence Academy
in Western Australia have carried out presentations to all the major
nursing conferences in Australia over the last two years, explaining the
unique techniques for their use. Presently, over 16 hospitals across
Australia are currently offering these treatments to their patients.
The Western Australian flower essences
and their specific application techniques are compatible within the
hospital environment because they are considered to be safe, produce
consistent results, and take little time to apply to the patient. One of
the other outstanding features of these essences is that they can be used
without any interference to medical procedures.
