Hi
In this article I will talk about three different kinds of Mobilizations Techniques and how you can benefit by applying them during your work.
Vibration, Trepidation and Sucution:
These techniques are good to be applied when performing Gentle Mobilizations but you can use them anytime.
Getting us to start with the subject lets review them one by one
Vibration:
Vibration could be applied in two ways:
First: as a massage modality by placing your hands over the subject's body part and applying at the same time fast, small, shaking movements, while performing vibration the member stays still and does not perform any waving movements.
Second: as a mobilization technique while grabbing one upper extremity (arm ) or lower extremity (leg) and applying the same kind of shaking detailed before and making it to be transmitted to the entire extremity.
Example: Imagine a construction worker grabbing those big machines used to make a hole on the pavement.
Trepidation:
This is a movement also applied to upper or lower extremities similar to vibration but with more strength and energy.
You have to grab with both hand one of the upper or lower extremities and start applying a firm strong (not harmful) shake with a fast waving movement.
Example: Imagine you are seating traveling in an old train and position yourself how would you body vibrate and jump and shake with energy.
That would be the kind of shake you should have to apply to the other person's body part. It is stronger than a vibration and produces shaking movements in the extremity while during the vibration the extremity remains still.
