A headache represents stuck or congested energy result of other imbalances in the body. One of the main contributors or triggers is mental agitation of any sort. This can be seen in a variety of ways. What are you doing in your life that does not work for you? Have you ever felt anxious or literally like your head is spinning because of all the inside conversations and voices going on? Is shutting off your mind usually challenging? Especially when trying to relax or go to sleep? If so, you are in the right place!!! Yes! This can all be shifted. Allow yourself to be open to that. The mind is one of the most important challenges to master. Take a deep inhale. . .make sure you really get this next paragraph.

Our minds are our key to survival, here to protect us. If you are in the middle of the road and there is a tractor trailer truck coming, your mind will tell you to get out of the way FAST! That?s why your mind is so good at judging other people and, of course, your own self. That is its own way of looking out for you. It will make up all kinds of stories, reasons and excuses why something is good, bad, likeable or unlikable. That is its job. It justifies through stories that play over in over in our heads like a broken record. For example: ?I can?t heal because my childhood was too terrible and I was severely abused.? Or ? ______ (person) won?t do ______ for me.? Do you see how ?stories? like this may hold a person back? This is the mind. It wants to justify and give reasons why your life is the way it is. Your experiences are valid. What is needed, however, is to let go of identifying yourself through your experiences. You are much greater than your experiences. They do not define who you are.

The mind is great at numbers and intellectual activities. That?s it! It does not have any heart connection. It is either in calculating mode or in protection mode. This is the challenge to shift. Gaining peace with any pattern that keeps you from your heart and your truest desires is a priority!

For most people the mind is agitated. This is one of the reasons people look to substances for relief. They are looking to calm their mind. Uncovering the root of what causes the mind to feel out of control in the first place is healing. Masking a symptom or pain of any sort will never cure the problem. In fact, it almost always makes it worse!

What causes mental agitation that result in headaches? It is simply belief systems that are the dysfunctional root-belief systems from which we unconsciously operate our lives.

?Headaches come from invalidating the self. The next time you get a headache, stop and ask yourself where and how have you just made yourself wrong. Forgive yourself, let it go, and the headache will dissolve back into the nothingness from whence it came (Louise Hay, You Can Heal Your Body).?
