The remedy Cantharis is full of burning pains and restlessness and is used especially in cystitis. Inflammations come on rapidly and violently. Patients can have a burning, unquenchable thirst with no desire to drink, or may be aggravated by drinking. It is also effective for irritation of the digestive tract, burning pains leading to distension of the abdomen.
