What is Cantharis?
Cantharis was used in ancient times as an
aphrodisiac in love potions and in its homoeoapthic form it can also be
used in cases of excessive desire for sexual intercourse.
The remedy Cantharis is full of burning pains and
restlessness and is used especially in cystitis. Inflammations come on
rapidly and violently. Patients can have a burning, unquenchable thirst
with no desire to drink, or may be aggravated by drinking. It is also
effective for irritation of the digestive tract, burning pains leading to
distension of the abdomen.
