This remedy is a form of carbon found in pencils. It is excellent for skin complaints and problems with metabolism.

The Graphites type is anxious, indecisive and easily startled. The person needing this finds it difficult to sustain mental effort and is generally slow to react to outside stimuli. They are lethargic, feel unlucky and despondent, especially when listening to music.

Graphites people usually have dark, earthy and course features. Their skin is prone to cracking and very dry. They have tendency to be overweight.

They are better for warmth and fresh air and worse in the morning, or for sweet foods.

Graphites is often used to treat skin problems, particularly eczema, psoriasis, scarring or hardening, abnormal nail formation.

Weak areas of the body are the skin and nails, and left side of the body.
