How To Reduce Cholesterol Do It Or Die

Due to the agitated life we live nowadays, the risk of a heart disease has risen dangerously. It is time to pay attention to our levels of cholesterol. Why? Well, simply put, cholesterol plays an important role in our health and if we take care of our levels of cholesterol we reduce the risk of a heart disease or stroke. This has been known for years. We have also known, at least we have suspected, that a good diet and exercise helps a lot too. We have known as well that medication is necessary in some cases but we must know that when medication is combined with a healthy diet the effectiveness o medication is much better.

We have two types of cholesterol, the cholesterol LDL and the cholesterol HDL. The cholesterol LDL is found in more quantity, as much as 3 times more. This cholesterol LDL is the one we talk about when we try to lower our level of cholesterol. But we do not try to lower our cholesterol LDL only because there is a lot more in our bodies than HDL.

The reason for our desire to lower LDL is because, even though it helps in our digestion and protects our nervous system, and more, this cholesterol tends to build up in our arteries once it finishes its job.

There are medications that can help us lower our levels of cholesterol chemically in our circulatory system as well as help our liver to defend itself against high cholesterol levels. Yes, medication helps both synthetic and herbal, but sometimes we try to avoid any kind of medication in order to get a more natural remedy. Either we choose to treat our cholesterol with drugs or natural remedies, if we adjust our diets we can improve a lot our cholesterol balance.

One quick tip about dietary adjustment is to lower our eating of animal products which are high in saturated fats. Not to mention the toxins that all meats carry if not cooked well. And as we mention before, good physical exercise combined with a good diet can work wonders in our bodies because besides burning some fats we need to get rid of, our heart is stimulated making it active and healthy, as well as other organs that get in shape due to a regular activity.

We need to understand that when talking about taking care of our heart and cholesterol levels, a well-balanced diet and regular physical exercise is essential if we really want to see a significative improvement in our health.

Eat right and exercise regularly. Check your eating habits, if possible go to a library and look for advice for your particular lifestyle. The truth is that all the vitamins/supplements in the world are not enough if our diet is poorly balanced. Start eating whole foods and start avoiding that junk food that will never help you.
