I read an article recently, ?Sugar a Sweet Poison? which expresses the sentiments of many previous articles generally that lambastes sugar and milk products. Indirectly these statements have put the Bible in a bad light. This is because the Bible often refers to milk and honey in positive terms. (The effect of honey on your body is similar to that of sugar products). It would seem that God slipped up in his creation of these products since they cause so many health problems, as pointed out by the writers including dysfunctional immune system, cancers, diabetes, heart diseases, allergic conditions etc. These comments are usually supported with scientific studies showing the ill effect of milk and honey.
But is this really the true picture? Is it really sugar and milk that is causing the problems or is it how we are using them? I will first examine why sugar appears to cause problems then follow up with my dissertation on milk.
Let us consider the effect of using two fertilizers on a plant. One fertilizer is a very strong fertilizer while the other is a milder or weaker fertilizer. If we apply these fertilizers inappropriately to the plants i.e. too close to the roots the plant receiving the strong fertilizer will do much worst than the plant receiving the weak fertilizer. If we were to apply the same fertilizers appropriately to the plants, the plant receiving the strong fertilizer will do much better than the plant receiving the weak fertilizer. Sugar is a strong ?fertilizer? for the body. If must be used as directed. The Sabbatical Diet is the only safe way this strong body fuel can be used safely. This also applies to the use of fats. Using sugar and fat in this way will not only prevent diseases but significantly slow your aging and improve your general appearance. Sugar in fact is one of the best foods found on our planet, if it is used as directed. Sugar then becomes medicine and not poison.
Let me now turn my attention to the milk fiasco. Milk is the best complete meal for all young mammals existing on this planet. It contains a concentrated supply of high quality proteins, carbohydrates and fats. Mammals are not the only animals that do well on milk but also micro-organisms. This is the reason why milk ferments very easily if not stored properly. Your small and large intestines are swarming with micro-organisms. These micro-organisms, especially those in the small intestine will participate in consuming the milk you ingest. If the micro-organisms are ?good?, milk ingestion will not cause any adverse effect or allergy but will enhance your health. If on the other hand these micro-organisms, in your intestine, are ?bad?, these organism will produce toxins from the milk ingested causing various allergic reactions and other diseases. Most if not all of our intestines are proliferated with bad bacteria. This is because we regularly consume foods with preservatives and water with chlorine which alter our bacterial flora. Hence it is not the milk that is bad but the bacterial flora in our intestine that is bad, causing the ill effects from milk ingested. Yogurt or properly fermented milk does not cause similar problems like unfermented milk because they contain numerous good bacteria as well as the milk. If we are to keep our intestines healthy and prevent the foods we ingest from causing ill effects, we need to regularly consume pure organic foods and un-chlorinated clean water or take a food purifier along with our food.
