Bristol Cancer Help Centre

Bristol Cancer Help Centre logo

The Centre runs a residential therapy programme for those with cancer and their supporters. The Centre’s approach recognises that the diagnosis of cancer affects not just the health of the body, but also the emotions, the mind and the spirit. The programme, therefore, uses a fully integrated range of complementary therapies and self-help techniques, including nutrition and diet, and works alongside medical treatment to promote positive health in all areas.

An extensive education programme is also available for health professionals and complementary practitioners wanting to learn more about the holistic approach in cancer care.

Cancerlink

Cancerlink is a national charity supporting people affected by cancer, their families, friends and professionals. Our main aim is to put people in touch with a range of support options so that they can feel in control of their life with cancer and support each other through shared experience.

We produce a wide range of publications concerned with the emotional and practical aspects of living with cancer and helps people access support in their own communities by working closely with over 700 cancer self help and support groups across the UK. We provide training and consultancy for these groups and advise people setting up new cancer self help and support groups. We publish an annual directory of the groups which is available free to those affected by cancer.
