ASH (Action on smoking and Health)
ASH is a charity providing information on all aspects of
tobacco and works to advance policies and measures that will help prevent
the addiction, disease and premature death caused by smoking.
ASH is campaigning to secure support for a comprehensive
programme to tackle the epidemic of tobacco-related disease. Such measures
include the banning of tobacco advertising, raising tobacco taxes,
increasing the provision of smoke-free public places, regulation of
tobacco, and greater consumer protection measures such as improved health
warnings.
ASH produces a wide range of materials, including fact
sheets and detailed briefings, on all aspects of tobacco.
