All my life I have observed something that's very interesting - someone can keep eating to their heart's delight and yet manage to maintain their weight with no excess pounds. And yet some others can gain weights so easily that almost any foods will trigger the increase of their body weights.
I for one happen to belong to somewhere in between - gain and lose weights very easily at will.
What's the secrets? It has a lot to do with the relationship between body weight and metabolism. In other words, if the relationship between weight loss and metabolism can be wisely manipulated, the body weight will be easily managed at will.
Foods of course have a great deal to do with influencing our body's metabolism. But so does our overall lifestyle - particularly the extent to which the body is exercised on a daily basis.
Those who exercise regularly might find it easier to control their body weights than those who don't. In this case, aerobic exercises are well known for speeding up our body's fat burning process in such a way that you can very easily tell if one is on a regular aerobic exercise or not.
The same applies to those who perform anaerobic exercises such as weight-lifting, bodybuilding, and the like. They will find it quite easy to manage their body weights at will as required by their training sessions, or by the timing with which they're to follow with regard to the upcoming competitions - the peak seasons and the off seasons so to speak.
And guess what, the secret to controlling our metabolism through exercise lies in the fact that the more our legs are involved in performing our exercises, the easier our body's metabolism will be effected. This is to say that for aerobic exercisers, high repetitions workout involving the legs will surely bring forth the effect of increasing or decreasing our metabolism rate, thereby rendering it possible for our body to speed up or slow down the rate it burns body fat, which as a result will make possible the control of our body weight at will.
The same holds true for the anaerobic exercisers, me included, that the more intensive squats we perform, the easier it is for us to control and rise and fall of our body weights. The main reasons, as I've learned from several Mr. World's and Mr. Universe's when working out at Muscle Beach in California, is that since our legs have occupied most of our body's weight distribution, they hold the control of the 'rpm' of our 'engine.' If we focus on the legs when attempting to adjust our 'rpm,' we'd have direct control as to how our 'engine' works and to what intensity. Although this sounds like such commonplace idea, yet the whole world goes crazy with 'getting physical' and still unable to lose weights!
It's because the true key to controlling the relationship between weight loss and metabolism has not been fully looked upon, or understood, as valid advice. Another reason perhaps is due to the unwillingness of the exercisers to perform hard and tough exercises such as squats and long bike ride. They all want the easy way out! But trust me, 'No pain no gain' is still a good old standby in this arena!
