There is one major reason people go to the gym, to get rid of stomach fat. However, why do you think people still complain of fat stomach? The reason is that AB exercises do very little help in taking away that stomach fat.

Why do AB exercises fail?

AB exercises such as sit-ups and crunches do work. However, because of your stomach fat, they are hidden underneath those fats. You therefore need to get rid of your stomach fat to see your ABS. How do you do this, best is to eat right and exercise right.

Eat right

Do not take the hunger route because when you stop, you will gain back all of your lost pounds. What you should do is to ensure the amount of calories you take in are controlled. You do not need to stop enjoying those foods you want. The thing to do is to reduce them to a level you can maintain.

Nutritionists recommendation is to eat six 400 calories in one day. Eat your meal every 2 to 3 hours. By doing this, your metabolism will work more efficiently.

Exercise right

The proper way of exercising to take away that fat in your stomach is an exercise that will reduce the fat in all parts of your body. Burn all the fat in your body and before you know it, your stomach fat or spare tire is gone.

Exercise for about an hour a day. This does not mean that you need to exercise that whole hour. You may combine various exercises or activities to reach one hour of fat burning exercises i.e., aerobics, weight training, biking and brisk walking.

If you feel that you cannot take away one hour in your day to exercise, do other activities that will make up that remaining time you cannot exercise. Say 30 minutes of aerobics, 15 minutes of biking and may be 15 minutes of brisk walking.

Of course, if you can steal one-hour from your busy schedule, you can run to the gym and work out that stomach fat for good.

Getting rid of your stomach fat does not happen over night, you will need to patiently eat right and exercise right to reach your goal. Day by day, you will not see your stomach fat getting smaller but you will feel that you can move more without having to feel tired easily. This means you are progressing towards trimmer and healthy life.
