?If you?ve got the guts we can help you lose weight.?

The problem with weight loss is not so much ?what foods to eat? but rather - Do we have the self-discipline to carry out the necessary program in order to achieve our goal?

In many cases unfortunately I suspect NO!

So, do we go into a long-winded diatribe on the assessment of self or do we simply look in the mirror and ask the boss ? ?Am I sincere in my desire to lose weight??

If the answer that reflects back is YES ? then the following tips will ABSOLUTELY assist you in achieving your goals.

1. Set yourself realistic goals ? don?t try to lose all your excess weight in one fell swoop ? set a goal of losing 1,2,3,4 or 5 pounds (1-2 kgs) per week ? inch by inch it?s a cinch ? yard by yard it?s hard.

2. Set a daily dietary program ? we suggest a plant based diet that provides all the necessary ingredients to maintain a healthy transition.

3. Make it a pledge not to eat take-aways for the first week.

4. Incorporate the ?No Breakfast? plan ? if this is not feasible, try fruit only or diluted fruit juice for breakfast.

5. Don?t eat in between meals ? if you are weak in this area ? chew something like an apple or carrot (I?ll explain this later)

6. It is not necessary to drink multiple glasses/bottles of water a day ? especially if your diet is plant based.

7. Chew your food until it is an emulsion ? in other words ? a liquid. An old adage says ? chew your liquids and drink your foods. See note at the end.

8. When socializing, like going to a bar-b-q, take along a huge salad ? but be prepared to have everyone else eat it ? so get in early.

9. Take a picture of yourself ?before? and place it on the fridge ? and of course, take a picture ?after? and place it on your mirror

10. Stick to it for 1 week and then reset your goal for the next week.

Note: #s 4 & 6 are very important ? the more we use our strongest muscles ? jaw muscles ? the more tired we will become and as we become tired we feel less and less like doing more ? SO! We eat less if we chew more.
