Why Cant I Lose Weight

We have all been there. When we were younger, we could eat like a horse and never gain weight. Now 10, 20, or 30 years later, if we look at food, we gain weight.

This report on weight loss tips will give you the insight that you knew all along, but with your day-to-day struggles to lose weight you were blinded by your lack of weight loss. We will cover 3 main points that will help you lose weight

1. O Metabolism, Metabolism! wherefore art thou Metabolism?

Going back to the time when you were younger, you were full of energy. Your metabolism was high and running around as a kid or young adult you just burned calories right and left. Your body was like a hummingbird, just give me sugar and I can still lose weight.

But now, we have aged a little bit (some more than others) and we are not as active as we once were.

Instead of walking or biking down to the local store, we jump into our SUV and drive there. Worse yet we order it online. Work today is more sedentary than it was for our parents.

Weight loss tip number 1, get up, and get moving.

If you haven't exercised in some time start off by walking. There is one girl in town that walked about 30 minutes every day and lost 200 pounds after a year and a half.

2. Come on everybody, we can lose weight using the latest fad.

I have tried them all, you have tried them all. I bet we both still need to lose weight.

How many times have you read where someone lost 50 pounds only to gain back 75.

The low fat, no fat, no carb, cabbage soup, latest Hollywood craze, chew it and spit it out diet, come on get real. IF, you were honest with yourself you know the only way to lose weight is to eat less calories than what you burn. It is that simple. Everything that the late night hucksters will tell you boils down to that.

Weight loss tip number 2, eat a balanced healthy diet. If you have problems with portion control try some of the excellent frozen food products that really do taste good. They ain't your momma's TV dinners.

3. Check your emotions at the door.

Easier said than done, right.

We all know that people turn to comfort food when they feel down. That piece of chocolate or that bowl of ice cream, yum.

Stop it, you know the connection between emotions and food.

Emotions are a big reason why we are not slim, trim and racy.

Weight loss tip number 3. Fool yourself.

Use some of these tricks to trick yourself. When you feel the urge because of the emotional roller coaster,

* Call a friend

* Go for a walk

* Read

* Take a Shower

* Drink water

I told my wife, if it is in the house I will eat it, if it isn't I won't crave it.

Well I hope this small article helps you to lose all the weight you want to lose. Remember these three things.

1. Get moving with exercise

2. Balanced approach to your diet

3. Don't use food as your excuse, use it for the proper fuel you need.
