Vitamin D may help curb breast cancer, study finds (AP)
AP - Breast cancer patients with low levels of vitamin D were much more likely to die of the disease or have it spread than patients getting enough of the nutrient, a study found — adding to evidence the "sunshine vitamin" has anti-cancer benefits. The results are sure to renew arguments about whether a little more sunshine is a good thing.
Tips on getting vitamin D for cancer prevention (AP)
AP - Evidence is growing that vitamin D, which the skin makes from sunshine, is linked to lower risk of breast cancer and other cancers. But that doesn't mean it's good to get a golden tan — and certainly not a sunburn.
More cancer patients having whole breast removed (AP)
AP - A growing number of women with early stage breast cancer seem to be choosing to have the whole breast removed instead of just the cancerous lump, doctors are reporting.
Study finds heart risks in young cancer survivors (AP)
AP - Children who survive cancer face a much greater risk of heart problems later in life than their brothers and sisters who did not have cancer, new research shows.

If you've found yourself less interested in making love, here are some ideas for putting more sizzle in your love life--whether or not you currently have a regular partner. Try these and see if you don't find your love life taking a more scintillating turn.

Stimulate Your Five Senses

First, involve all of your senses, including your biggest sex organ, your imagination. Try dabbing on a little of your man's favorite aftershave, brushing your skin with a feather, or savoring the taste of a fruit as you suck on it. Read some x-rated material, look at a sexy film, do whatever it takes to get all your senses moving to stimulate your body and mind.

Never underestimate the importance of discovering what makes you feel good. If you don't know what gives you pleasure, how can you expect to convey that to someone else? Explore your body and abandon yourself to the excitement you experience.

Feel Beautiful

Don't give any thought to your body's shortcomings. They have nothing to do with receiving pleasure. Your body is meant to experience the joy of sexual sensation, and it's up to you to know how that pleasure can best be attained.

It's also important to realize that the vast majority of men are most turned on by a woman who allows herself to freely enjoy the sexual experience, and they're eager to provide the type of sensations that will turn you on, too. They care much less about outward physical beauty and attributes than they do about a woman's passion or sexual inhibition. When you're making love with a man, don't be afraid to guide him toward doing the things that will give you pleasure. You'll be surprised at how willing he will be to comply.

Talk and Tell

One of the biggest mistakes women make is to believe that men know what you want. First of all, every woman is different, and what turns you on may be totally different from the woman you sit next to in the office every day. This can even be true of a man you make love with on a regular basis. You may have a spot that absolutely drives you wild that he knows nothing about, and you'd be amazed at how many women go through long-term relationships resenting their lovers for not giving them a special pleasure that they've never told them about. They're caught in the age-old mindset (which has never been correct) "if he really loved me, he'd just KNOW."

There are gentle ways to let your man know, either through words or sometimes not-so-subtle body language, what he should do at any given moment. Don't be shy. You deserve as much pleasure as your man, including having an orgasm each time, and you won't get that if you don't tell your man how to help you. If you're in a relationship that includes regular sex, learn what drives your partner wild, too, because doing that can help you feel more sexy in return. Giving pleasure can give you pleasure, but only if you're comfortable enough in your own sexuality to be open to it.

So if you're feeling somewhat less than sensual, it's time to begin exploring your body, your mind, and your relationships in order to jump start your libido again. It can be done, and as you experiment, it can actually be a lot of fun along the way!
