A lady called me on the telephone and narrated her story to me. This is what she told me.
?I have been a nurse for over ten years, but have no child of my own. And to make it worse ?my doctor told me after many years of failed fertility treatments, that I had no more eggs in my womb?.
?When he said this, anger rose up inside me. And I said to him, ?my God will help me?. I did not know what I was going to do, but I knew God will surely help me?.
I went home and started praying to God. After a few weeks I helped a lady deliver a baby. This lady was the one that told me about your work with infertile men and women and I came to speak to you today?.
After she narrated her story, I encouraged her with God?s word, and gave her some scriptures from the bible. I also prayed with her. Nine months later, she had delivered a baby girl.
Why did I share this with you today? Because I know many of you are hurting. The pain of infertility is so deep that only you understand where it hurts.
Sometimes our wounds are simply too private to share with anyone. So nobody really sees how much you hurt.
But God wants you to know that he sees and he knows and cares. The good news is that God also desires to bless you like the lady I shared her story.
Why not? God loves to bless and that includes you too. That is his nature. He is a good God. I encourage you to give him a chance today to love you.
If today, you can open your mouth and say, ?I don?t care what man has said, I don?t care what damage infertility has wrecked in my life, my God will help me? than you are well on your way to victory.
This is what the bible says about God?s help: In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.
Help me Lord I cried! my cry came before him, into his ears. The earth trembled and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains shook, they trembled because he was angry.
Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it. He parted the heavens and came down.
Dark clouds were under his feet. He mounted the cherubim and flew, he soared on the wings of the wind.
He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him- the dark rain clouds of the sky. Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced, with hailstones and bolts of lightning.
The Lord thundered from heaven, the voice of the Most High resounded. He shot his arrows and scattered the enemies, great bolts of lightning and routed them.
The valleys of the sea were exposed and the foundations of the earth laid bare at your rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of breath from your nostrils.
He reached down from on high and took hold of me. He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.
They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me. Psalm 18:6-19.
This is how God fights for you when you call upon him in faith. He can fight infertility for you, if you will let him.
When you have done all you know to do as a human being, and all the roads have been exhausted, you can turn to God Almighty and find your help in him. For what is impossible for man is possible with God.
The best part of this is that God truly loves to bless you and help you as you call upon him in trust. If you want God to help you, you can pray this prayer now.
PRAYER: I cried out to God for help. I cried out to God to help me. Help me, O God my Saviour, for the glory of your name, deliver me and forgive my sins for your name's sake.
I cry to you for help O Lord, in the morning my prayer comes before you. With your help I can advance against a troop. With my God I can scale a wall.
Be not far from me, O God. Come quickly, O my God, to help me. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 63:7
For you will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help them.
I cried for help and you have answered me. Thank you Lord for your unfailing.
I prise you, as I declare in faith that you have indeed delivered me from infertility and miscarrage. Thank you Lord in Jesus name. Amen.
