Baby Boomer women, those born between 1946 and 1964, are entering into the Wise Woman phase of their lives. Having lived through the women?s revolution of the 1960s and 70s, and the change in the traditional roles of women, they are ready to face the second half of their lives differently from how their mothers and grandmothers did it. These are the top ten ways in which Baby Boomer Wise Women are equipped to enter into their mature years, and make them the best years ever!

1.Experience: We have played more roles than any women before us-mothers, wives, partners, full-time workers, single parents, volunteers, care-givers, multi-taskers, and most of these simultaneously!

2. Health consciousness: We are more aware of health issues, and as informed consumers we are more willing to take active roles in our own healthcare and that of our loved ones.

3. Financial savvy: Baby Boomer women are well aware of the need for a personal credit history and for taking charge of our own financial futures. We are less likely to let others ?take care? of us, and want control of our own financial destinies.

4. Engagement: Baby Boomer Wise Women have been a large part of the 65% of women who are the work force in America. These are women who are increasingly involved in politics, leading religious organizations, and corporations.

5. Confident: Baby Boomer women know their own minds, and are not easily led by others. We have experienced the world, and we know what we like and what we don?t like.

6. Informed: Baby Boomer women are informed consumers, and are informed about politics and the world around them. They are not easily fooled by anyone!

7. Inquisitive: We are constantly keeping current on many topics, and are eager to learn new things. Baby Boomers are fully engaged in the information age of internet communication, and are constantly learning.

8. Compassionate: We have experienced enough of Life?s ups and downs to be able to understand the plight of others, and are willing to make ourselves available and vulnerable to the family and friends in need.

9. Generous: Baby Boomer women are very giving of their time and money to the causes they believe in. We are willing to step in where we perceive the need, and can be relied upon to support causes and actions we believe in.

10. Fun-loving: Boomer women are Wise Women, and we know the value of recreation and ?down time?. We seek out new hobbies and activities, and are not afraid to laugh out loud with friends. We know the delight of child-like wonder and can find joy in the simple things in life.

We are the Baby Boomer Wise Women, and we are coming into the most exciting time of our lives. Full of knowledge, experience and wisdom, this is our time, and we are making the most of it!
